Abul A’la Maududi (1399 AH)

Abul A’la Maududi was born in September 1903 in Hyderabad Deccan, British India. Moududi comes from a middle-class family. His father Ahmad Hassan was a lawyer by profession.

His father wanted him to learn and become a Scholar so he employed a variety of teachers for his son Moududi. Abul A’la Maududi’s writings were published throughout his life. His most important and appreciated work is Tafheem ul Quran, Moududi’s commentary on Quran, 6 volumes.

Another great work by him that got so much popularity among the unbiased Muslim community, is Khilafat o Malookiat. Moududi explains how the caliphate was transformed into Kingship by Muavia and Banu Umayyah.
